No book is enough! Get somebody to personally teach you the basic stuff .. video tutorials are good too. After you're done with the very basics, it is possible to pick up on your own. That's my personal point of view.

Why take trouble of installing a software If it's a youtube video, then directly download converted mpgs using vixy.net or use VDownloader to do the same job. If you have a flv, then you can also try media-convert.com (Of course I'm assuming you have a broadband :P )

network utilization is THE actual transfer speed .. shown as percentage of bandwidth .. instead of actual mpbs value. it's not wrong atleast ----- alibi
