OMG guys that worked :D i just searched on the internet that how to fix bad sectors and found that win7 has builtin option for error checking for hard disk[ as gollum also said] so i just started it it showed me bunch of the errors and also fixed them so after that i tried running winxp setup on...

it seems that my hard disk is full of bad sectors because i have tried installing xp on all four partitions and creating a new partition but nothing fixed the setup only copies 1/100 files or some times 1/50 files. and how it can be possible that my hard disk created so many bad sectors in...

thanks whitestar for replying , is there any possible way of fixing those bad sectors or installing xp ? like installing xp from windows 7 without booting? i just want to install xp once no matter how long it takes :(

m replying u from win7 on this computer only :| and i didnt have any single problm installing win7 on this hard disk . it just happens with win xp only no matter what version i try to install home or pro the same error comes up that file cannot be copied :(

i have tried two images and atleast 3 cds on the same computer :| nothing worked :x

yeah i tried installing after formatting but its not installing even after formatting :(

i told u there is no gfx driver for my computer for win7 my computer is very old :X
