Need best mobile under 20K for dad, excluding all offers, coupons etc etc.
is it possible to avoid buying from flipkart considering its extra cost and new policies?
Mostly POCO and mi devices are available on flipkart only.

1. Budget?
  • Below 20K (excluding sale, discount, card offers, coupons, etc etc)
  • mobile should be around +/-15k including all sale, discount, card offers, coupons, etc etc)
2. Display type and size?
- Any
3. Dual sim?
- Yes
4. Preferred choice of brand?
- Any (MediaTek Dimensity and snapdragon devices only)
5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)?
- Any
6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS,Stock Android etc).
  • Android
  • MIUI, +1 for features
  • stock android not experienced, lack of features like App Lock, dual apps etc etc, +1 for smoothness
  • I can't tell if he will like stock android or not. As he will be shifting from MIUI to Stock UI. All his previous devices were MIUI and OnePlus X
7. Preferred connectivity options (Dual 4G,802.11AC/5Ghz(not 5g mobile network) wifi).
- Dual 5G is there? WiFi and hotspot should work together, like repeater device.
8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
  • Office work (read edit word, excel, sheet), PDFs
  • good camera for document scanning
  • internet stuff YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, multimedia
9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
- 128+ GB storage with 4 GB or 6 GB RAM
  • POCO X4 Pro 5G (due to MIUI) but over budget
  • Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 11T 5G
  • Moto G62 5G, G82 5G
10. Any other info that you want to share
  • Any new upcoming devices?
  • Need mobile asap but if new upcoming device is worth waiting till Diwali then I can wait.
  • 128 GB storage required
  • 5G, Dual 5G if possible.

Try to get your phone repaired under extended warranty, IIRC they did that for Poco phones.

Redmi note 11 pro+ 5g 256 gb available at amazon for ₹23999 after bank discounts you can get it for ₹21k
Won't recommend Xiaomi phones due to hardware issues as experienced by OP.

Is there any good 5g phone at ₹20k other than xiaomi there is realme se 5g but 3,5,8,40 bands absent for 5g and motorola just lost its trust because they still haven't provide a timeline for update for enabling 5g on existing phones

Moto G71 and G82 are still good options. Ignore all BBK phones IMO.

Extended warranty not available for mobiles.

I am not supporting BBK, but I don't think hardware issues are happening frequently.

meaning?
existing 5G device or existing 4G device?
Do we need to update device to work with 5G for 5G devices?

Motorola needs an OTA update for enabling 5g on their 5g phones but they haven't responded to Airtel or Jio yet Their phones not in the Airtel 5g compatibility list

I am talking about Poco extending the warranty coverage by themselves, not a third party warranty.

Why bother with ColorOS crap?
I don't see any poco X2 extended warranty option here.

Do you have any image or link? Please share.

No. I was just telling that he used 1st moto e (Stock OS), then Colour OS (OnePlus x) and after that all devices were MIUI.
So he will stick to MIUI.
But MIUI has lots of bugs, sometimes contacts name gets vanished, UI lags (dad says poco x2 hangs many times, need better performance smartphone), even if I purchase sd870 device MIUI will lag.
Only plus point about these smartphones that they provide good hardware in budget.

My bad, I thought they did it for X2 as well.

Oneplus X had OxygenOS. Oppo recently shat ColorOS into Oneplus phones.

Buying a Xiaomi/Redmi/Poco phone makes sense only if you'll be flashing a custom rom on it. MIUI is a cancer.

Vivo iQoo 9 at 22.5k, has 8k exchange bonus, 6k ICICI discount. That 11.6k is for Poco M2 pro with body damage, full price was 13k w/o damage.

IMO looks like a good phone for the price, unless you plan to play games like CoD continuously. Should have good camera, should be slightly inferior to S20FE 5G rear cams but better selfie. Vivo's UI is ok, I will prefer Samsung any day for sure, but oppo & vivo's UI are more stable than Oneplus these days. Not sure how OP made oppo's UI more buggy on OP phones.

It was available at 19,999 till 21st October then Amazon reduced discount.
It's still available at 19999 on mi store.

I checked iqoo series. Which is surprisingly good. But iqoo device don't have any custom rom.

Also poco X2 was repaired. So new mobile purchase delayed.
Waiting for new devices to release.

Last I checked, for custom ROM, you can ignore oppo & vivo

So, how is POCO X5 Pro 5G 256 GB?
Any good Snapdragon SoC device within that below ~>25k budget?
I will make purchase on or before 22nd March.

priority wise brands
1. Samsung with Snapdragon SoC
- Don't have any good device within 20k budget.
2. Xiaomi Redmi POCO with Snapdragon SoC
- All prices are high even after budget,
MIUI problem is there, so after purchase I can live with no MIUI and Security updates. Users complaining hard bricked devices after MIUI and Security updates.
3. No moto due to stock os but can be considered as 3rd preference
- POCO x2 is flashed with pixel experience rom and dad didn't like it. I tried changing different roms but no luck.
4. realme iqoo and others can be avoided due to their UI but can be considered 4th preference.
