19" monitor flickering and going "off-on" every now and then, when the power led is on!

G card- MSI GeFOrce GTX 1650super
Mobo- MSI Tomahawk b450 max
Monitor- Samsung 19" vga only ☹( I'm using a hdmi to vga adaptor)
CPU- Ryzen7 2700x
Can you please watch the video and tell me why is this happening? When i tried to start crysis 2 just after installing it, same thing happened but after setting up correct screen resolution in the game and restarted the game, it worked fine.

Same screen appeared and lasted for 10 seconds when i was watching movie, it backed up to the normal stage and worked fine after that. Screen sometimes goes black and wakes up while the power led is on! I have clean installed drivers from GeFOrce experience, but problem persists.

All of my components are brand new except the monitor.

its possible, but you wont know it unless you have tested it with a different display/monitor.
I have a 43" hd tv. Should i try plugging that in my pc? Another thing, my screen resolution sometimes changes for no reason. The gpu temperature is always between 42°C-60°C. And no loud noise coming out of my tower pc. Gameplay is also pretty smooth, i am playing Shadow of the tomb raider with the ultra settings and no flickering or lower latency spotted yet. Sometimes monitor prompting a weird error "not optimised mode, recommend resolution 1366×768 60hz" to every newly installed games. But after i change in game resolution settings, everything works fine!

So far the symptoms point to the converter being the culprit. Try plugging your gpu to the tv using hdmi cable and check if the problem persists

Also are you using the latest drivers for your gpu?

Thanks I'll definitely do that. Yes i have downloaded and clean installed the gpu drivers, which didn't solve the issue

Definitely the VGA cable or a monitor power issue. I have an older 15 inch monitor also flicks a lot with my VGA. Changed cables and everything was fine.

Unless your windows also hangs in the background during the monitor flick, I'd say the GPU is in the clear.

Thanks for the reply, windows never hangs. And no latency of lag during gameplay!

Okay so today i plugged my 43inches lg led tv to the pc. First i switched on the tv then set to HDMI2 (pc connection) option then started my pc. But no response to my tv, it's saying "no signal" but for once i saw windows loading black screen (black screen and loading dot circle in the bottom) popped up and cracking sound out of the tv speakers. And the screen went back to "no signal". Keyboard and mouse light is on and pc tower fans were also working properly. I removed the tv and switched to the monitor and it worked, but with those issues, gray flickering and screen going off on while monitor power led is there. I need help, its getting frustrating. Any ideas?

Can you borrow a display adapter from a friend or relative and check using that instead of your 1650?
You mean that hdmi vga adapter? What did you mean by 1650 (I'm a noob, take time to understand ☹️). Yes i can buy a new hdmi vga adapter.

I meant you should borrow a graphics card from any friend /relative and test your pc using that instead of your current gtx 1650 gpu.

Also while connecting the pc to your tv, did you use a hdmi or vga cable? Connect them directly using a decent hdmi cable and dont use any adapters or converters.

Its probably impossible for me. People around me are not so gaming enthusiast or professional video encoder or etc, and they all use potato pc. And yes i used original hdmi cable that comes with the tv. And why the hell my tv showed "no signal" but my monitor is working after a few flashing? Tv (LG 43LH547A-TD)flashed that loading black screen though, but after that it went back to no signal. This type of screen

This happens ro me also but I think it's due to the HDMI to VGA conversion. I've tried this with multiple monitors, multiple laptops and many HDMI to VGA convertors. But with absolutely no other issues just having a convertor in between causes this frequent sleeping of the external monitor with it immidiately switching on again.

Haven't found a solution yet, heard across forums that its a known issue

Are there any other hdmi ports on your tv? If yes, try connecting your pc to that instead of the port you are currently using and check.

I will do that, there are two hdmi ports. I was using the second one. And the funny thing is, after a few flickering and turning off and on, the monitor actually gets stabilized and works for hours without interruption, but if you try to restart the machine then at the startup you can see the flickering again.

You mean when you switch monitors or use another hdmi vga adaptor, the problem disappears? And another thing, did you ever notice gray screen flickering with flashing lines? You can check the video lick i have shared on my original thread. I am so depressed thinking that it maybe the brand new gpu that's doing it, its sad if it does.
