SHORTNING RINGTONES???

My phone allows me to upload mid files not exceeding 40kb. i have some very good ringtones 2-3min long but are to large!!!
Is their any software(freeware) by which i can reduce the ringtones length say to 30sec or 1min so as to reduce its size???

Not aware of a software.

I used to do this for shortening ..

Just play the file and see whether any part in the tone keeps repeating, then remove that and save. You will be able to save space andplay the tone..

You can easily use Softwares like Fruity Loops to crop the music and remove the unneeded and incompatiable instruments...

Or you can post the file here and I'll do it.
