Hi!

I have just bought a new XFX nvidia 6200 256 MB AGP card. The problem is when i play games at high resolution (even 1024 x 786), the whole system just hangs, and i have to reset manually. I think its a problem with the power supply. Its not adequate. I have a microtek 330W SMPS. Advice appreciated!!

Thanks.

What mobo ru using and what r da other devices attached, viz, HDD, CD Drv, USB devices etc?? This may b due 2 low rated SMPS, those SMPS r actually lower rated than whts printed on their cover, 330W MTek SMPS will give u probably 200W or so. U can check ur card with ur frnds machine having higher power rating, or get a good one, viz, Antec or VIP.

Im using MSI nForce3 micro ATX board. I have 1 maxtor sata hdd (120 gb), 1 sony combo drive, 1 floppy drive. Thats it. How much will a decent SMPS cost me??

Thanks.

Im running latest forceware v81.85 WHQL. So the problem's not there. Even tried a few older versions!

already tried 77.77 WHQL. Could it be that the problem lies in the graphics card? Or is it just the SMPS at fault?
