"Dr Archana Sharma hanged herself inside a room of the hospital"
This is the unfortunate reality of our country today where a doctor has been murdered by abetting her suicide through systemic harassment.
The Rajasthan Police might as well release a handbook on how to murder someone as they already have done so and have been successful too.
Imagine a successful doctor, working with her husband in complete harmony with loving kids at home has been so mentally harassed that she has been pushed to take her own life especially when the oath to protect life even extends to ones own life. These thoughts might have worn heavy in her mind and the pain deep in her heart.
Anyone ignorant with the help of a few corrupt police and the local politician can kill someone without having to even hold a knife yourself. You can be a successful doctor or engineer or singer or actor, it doesn't matter.
This is the note written as a persons last thoughts, a gentle soul and a master of her craft who had to sacrifice herself to prove her innocence in our system. This is the price she deemed our nation demands for once innocence.

On 29th Mar 2022, at Lalsot, Rajasthan, India, a patient died during childbirth, the patient party created ruckus, kept the dead body in front of the hospital and pressurized the doctor using an unruly mob.
Against all the guidelines of Supreme Court, without any investigation, police registered a case under Section 302 ( attempt to murder).
A doctor who has saved lives all her life, when could not save one - was labeled as Murderer by Patient Party and Police. She hanged herself. She committed suicide.
It is the death of doctor within every doctor in this country.
Every doctor tries to save a patient and unfortunately doctors are not Gods to save all lives.
"If this doctor was a murderer, then every doctor is a murderer because we can't save all lives. All doctors should be booked for Section 302 and barred from practice. "

Some more information:
The patient was initially admitted in a Government hospital and planned for delivery but since this was their third child the hospital insisted they might need ligation of the tubes to prevent further pregnancies since each pregnancy further deteriorates the mothers health. But since all children were females they wanted her to bear more children.
Patient gets transferred from Govt hospital to Private hospital who admitted the patient since the previous LSCS surgery for delivery was also done at the same hospital bearing twins (a little more complicated than single birth).
Everything was fine until the patient was found to have atonic post partum hemorrhage where in there is severe blood loss and is one of the reasons for such high mortality rates in our country before the advent of modern medicine and penetration of both big and small hospitals.
To those not aware of the condition
"Obstetric hemorrhage is the most common and dangerous complication of childbirth. Traditionally, postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) has been defined as greater than 500 mL estimated blood loss associated with vaginal delivery or greater than 1000 mL estimated blood loss associated with cesarean delivery. This was redefined by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2017, and the current definition is cumulative blood loss greater than 1000 mL with signs and symptoms of hypovolemia within 24 hours of the birth process, regardless of the route of delivery.
Postpartum hemorrhage is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in childbirth. PPH occurs in approximately 1% to 6% of all deliveries. Uterine atony, the primary cause of PPH, accounts for 70% to 80% of all hemorrhage. "

This is one the conditions that science has not progressed enough to have every doctor save every patient. This was also explained to the patient party and in fact the patient's family members were informed of the condition. The patient was transfused with blood to compensate for the blood loss, all measure according to standard protocols were taken to resuscitate the patient. The resources of the entire hospital, as in the hospital was closed including OPD to cater to the patient.
Seeing all this the family members were grateful to the doctors for having tried their very best to somehow save a person life. Unfortunately they couldn't save her. The patient's family grieved and told the doctors to help them take the deceased home and an ambulance was arranged for the same.
The family of the patient had accepted it to be fate and the will of God having personally taken all steps to get the mother to the hospital where they had previously delivered and then seeing all the efforts put to their daughters care they understood fate was not on their side. There was no anger or resentment in anyone.
They went home and made preparations for their last rites according to the rituals. They almost completed the rituals when the local helpful politician came into foray to extract maximum value from the situation.
He told them not to go ahead with the cremation and he can get a nice hefty compensation from the hospital since it was a private hospital.
He told them to prepare the body to be put in front of the hospital gates for everyone's display. He collected some local politician friends, the police personnel under his payroll and asked the patient's family to bring some people while he too brought some goons (social workers).
They made a scene in front of the hospital, informed the doctors that an attempt to murder charge had been put on them and pressured them into thinking they were in mortal danger not just from the police or misuse of law but from the supposedly angry mob itself. The consequences would be immediate.
Their tricks worked and the politician was happy with the performance as we later find ended it a harrowing reality. Seeing a group of local politicians and his henchmen, the police force, murderous goons (social party workers) and the brainwashed relatives at their hospital will send shivers down the spine of any middle class family in our country. It is a living nightmare. The night dawned and they felt the nightmare had ended.
A known history sheeter or criminal in simpler words under the protection of a local politician had previously blackmailed them for money but they didn't budge. It was time to exact revenge. Not happy with just the antics of yesterday he planned his next step. With the help of a local corrupt journalist who he had used previously our Mr. Criminal got the newspaper to print a story about the incident and how the doctor was facing charges for murder and soon action will be taken. Police are looking into it and the doctor will face jail soon. The mechanisms of pure evil and the perversions of the human cruelty were in full display here.

The doctor could not take the accusations and was made to feel like she had somehow put her husband and kids in mortal danger. No mother would want to see her children mauled by an angry mob which cannot be pacified because it was clearly a well laid out plan of terrorizing the family and extorting money.
The mother first and doctor, Late Dr. Archana Sharma, decided only her sacrifice would protect her children and family. Her own life, her husband, even the care that she is yet to provide for her young children were not more important than saving the children's life. It's okay if they don't have a mother, at least she will have her children. If not in her physical form, she will be watching over them ethereally from the heavens. Were these her final thoughts, we may never know. She could pen a few of them on paper but what torture did she have to endure first. Imagine a mother having to sacrifice her life to protect her children and family. What vile evil country has she been borne into?

To those uninformed most hospitals are either government run or corporate megaliths under a well connected businesmen or politican. The smaller private hospitals are like your local kirana shop but run mostly by the doctors themselves. This has two advantages, you can follow your practice without any pressure to do targets and without unnecessary middleman you can give good quality care for a lower price to the patient (there's no HR, feedback manager, insurance agent, MBA coats looking up and blaming you for lower profits).
Another point to note these private hospitals are usually run by middle class people with hopes of building their own future. So just like any of us would venture into a business endeavour we have to rely on loans and monetary support from family etc. Now any middle class is scared of harassment by police, politicians or local goons. Now these private hospitals are initially left alone but after 3-4 years once they start making a profit you save some money after paying back the loans you can finally afford to buy a new car and save up to buy or build a home. This is when the harassment starts.
First comes the journalist. The local journalist knows the biggest asset the doctors have is their name and reputation. He says he needs a donation for the paper, you say okay, and he says its just Rs. 50000. If you are scared an pay off then around Diwali the demand becomes Rs. 1 lakh and it hovers around based on how scared you are or how effective he is.
Now he breaks the first lock so the others can enter. Next comes the local party worker asking for donations again. Same principle different face. You agree, all fine. You refuse and then he silently leaves since he is an aspiring politician and doesn't want blood on his hands.
Then comes the goon, he wears the local politician like a shawl, a group of henchmen like his shirt and the local policemen like his pants. He doesn't reveal all his cards yet. With his demeanor you understand that you are in danger but more importantly your family is in danger. All he is asking for is money. The money is for your families needs so what's wrong with paying a little protection money. Most are too scared. Imagine a goon in your office who calls the police himself when you say you are calling the police. Tells you, he knows them because he accidentally landed one policeman in the hospital himself last year but are now friends. You refuse, he breaks a few glass panes and your hospital board and leaves.
They wait for an opportune time. Not all patients survive a disease or health condition. They go in hunt for these patient relatives. Most of them refuse saying they know the doctor and despite heavy compensations in lakhs promised they stay pure in their heart and refuse to participate in extortion of money. Some however budge. Seeing this opportunity present itself. (I apologise if I am sounding insensitive about the patients death here but please understand I am giving the criminals view point here). The political-criminal-police nexus go into full force here and convinnce the patients family taht they have been wronged and brainwash them into thinking they deserve compensation whether it be true or not.
Since they are the ones negotiating the compensation since the courts will take a long time to squash the FIR or resolve, they continue the pressure using local goons and policemen here. They become the negotiators here and once a settlement is reached they will take their massive cut of the money and give some of it to the families. Remember the family also cannot demand the full or even half or even quarter or less amount from them since they are talking to the politician-criminal-police nexus here, they might as well keep the full amount but they disperse it for future votes.
This well oiled evil machine has sacrificed a mother today. We as a nation need to reflect upon the state of affair in our country.
