Hi,

My friend has a very old cheap Chinese tablet. PFA

Info.jpg

He wanted to install games like Angry Birds for kids. But thanks to 4gb rom, I think around 256mb ram it is a mess. Lags way too much. When we tried to install apks downloaded from Google, we got this error There is a problem parsing this package. USB Debugging is on, installation from unknown sources is on. Any way out of this? Can someone help with a working custom rom link? Micromax used to sell this tablet branded under their name. So, there were indeed roms back then.

Thanks

Yes, I think older versions of android apps were created using older sdk which supported older api found in these old versions of android but most apps nowadays are created with sdk that only supports newer api versions. @billubakra try around 2015-2016 released version.
Tried old one's but same result. Apps made around 2012 are not available with working links. Any luck with rom?

I don't think modern apps target Android 4.0.3. Lowest version mentioned in google's documentation is 4.1.x

You can try torrents for older versions..
Or other sources.. Apps site, app mod site etc..

It will be very very hard to find them. Rom is the only option I think.
That xda link has this requirement
In Mainfest.xml in the root <mainfest> tag
That tablet is lagging so much that if we open file manager it takes about a minute. If you format it then about 40 seconds and then the time keeps on increasing.

I can try but I don't think that tablet is worth it. 256 MB ram is what chrome uses with few tabs open.

This is what I am saying bro, those adb commands won't work as it is lagging too much. The links to the roms have expired. I have checked like all of them.

Just noticed it now, have you read the readme.nfo file in top right pic(you can drag this file in notepad).

ß DESCRiPTiON Ü

With this version of the AllWinner A10/A13 Universal
Momo9-EX firmware you can unlock the power of the
MALI GPU. This offers a drastic edge/boost to users
who are using an A13 BoxChip Tablet Aka Momo9-II/III.
Gaming should now be a possiblity on a $47 A13 tablet.

Installation:
1. Open LiveSuit 1.09 or 1.11BETA
2. Select the image file packaged in this release.
3. With your tablet powered off hold volume up
Do not release the volume button, and insert the usb
cable into the tablet computer.
4. LiveSuit will detect the tablet and ask you what to do.
5. Make a choice to flash it or bail, this choice is yours.

We take no responisblity for this release at all,
if you fry your tablet or bootloop it too bad
this is for educational purposes only, hence
you should attain an education before using
device upgrading software.
