I hope I hadn't made a bad choice for the DVD RW. Digit guys awarded the S203 model on feb 2008. So I thought the S223 could be a better drive. What do you say guys.

Its really a nice writer and writes dvd within 4 mins at 16X but now am having problem with it dat sometimes it stucks while reading dvd and makes some scratching noise thereafter and within seconds everything works fine.

congrats. That's really a nice price.

The last time I checked seagate externel hdd price it was Rs. 4000 for a 320GB hdd.

I've only issue with moserbaer DVD+RW with this drive & nero.
It takes too much time to verify the disc & in the begining for 1st 5 minutes it reads a DVD+RW @ only 1.1-1.7x speed & then it's read the DVD @ only.
BTW, I'm using the latest firmware SB02.
