yahoo messenger: contact list not updated

hey..

I'm using yahoo messenger 7, which had been working fine for all the while. But, of late, say 2wks, my contact list does not get updated automatically. i.e, if some one on my list signs in, i dont get the '<name> has signed in' automatically, even though its enabled in the options. the person does appear online on my list tho. And when that contact signs out, it still shows as online indefinitely. The only way i can refresh my list is if I sign out and sign in again.
Any solutions?

Thats strange since there is no option to do so either... Did you reinstall and try btw?

And for refresh, just press F5 on the window
