XP HDD problems

i had this strange prob ...

dunno wat to do... plz help if u have ne idea on it ...

I have 2 HDD's

1. 20 GB
2. 80 GB

on my 80 GB partitions are : 20 and 55 (5GB eaten up by the mfg) :p :p

on my 20 GB ... it was earlier unformatted ... then i formatted 15 GB of it to NTFS ... and left the remainin 5GB jlt for a week ... so it showed me
E: which was actually 15 GB and also another drive J: with 15 GB ...

and wen i paste nethin in either of them it is shown in the other one also ...

so its kinda an image or sumthin .. i dunn wanna keep 2 copies of the same HDD ... so tel me how to remove it

2nd problem:

wen i formatted 15GB offf 20 GB ... the remaining 5GB were shown as K: in the pic ...

now after frmatiing the remainin 5 GB also to NTFS ... I have F: = 5GB and K: = Unformatted according to the system ...

how do i remove the K: ..............????????????????? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Did u try Disk management in the administrative tools and check whether that partition is with free space or of unknown file system type.
If possible try to remove from disk management tool or any third party tool like partition magic.

can u post a screen shot of the disk management.

FYI
To navigate there
control panel-> administrative tools->computer management-> disk management.

my net at home is not working ... so cant post the image also (disk mgmt)

also

My disk mgmt shows only C: , D: , E: and F: only

doesnt show the extra image created of E: i.e. J:

and also the erroneous K: as shown in the pic of My Computer.
