Wireless Routers showing me a nightmare

I've just bought a Belkin Wireless G Router and a Netgear USB Wireless Receiver... I don't know where the problem lies, but the Netgear frequently disconnects me from the internet. Sometimes it starts working if I plug it out and then replug it or sometimes when I restart the Belkin router... What could be the problem? Any suggestions please?

check the router for signs of overheating
if so then you can replace the peice under warranty

Well, the netgear one heats up. Atleast that I observed. But how do I exactly troubleshoot such a problem? Can you give me some advice?

Well, I use Comcast, supposedly the best here in US of A. When I directly connect it to my desktop, I have no problem at all...

Try changing the channel.
