ok
start by getting both lappy at static place
then countinusly ping each other and see the latency and RTO's
if there are move them closer
untill the latency is normal and RTO's are cleared
if not write again

I know distance does matter in wireless networking , but I don't get disconnect if i seat near his laptop with mine, but if i seat in other room (approx 10m far) it gets disconnecting. I don't think so 10m is too far, or is it ??

see, you are using in built wifi of processors, there is no anteina or any thing of that sort, and for this kind of setup even walls and curtain pose problems
so either sit in a same room or get a cheap AP or wireless router.
