windows xp starting error

Every time i restart the windows xp i am getting the blue screen giving some error and giving suggestion to disable caching of memory in bios. plz let me know how to troubleshoot it.

noting the exact error message will be helpful.
and some info about your motherboard and bios will help.

besides, the error message tells you to disable memory caching from bios. go and disable it and check again to see what happens.



just stating the obvious..

do u have a pirated copy of windows ?
have u tried reinstallin ?
if u have and yet the error comes .. then get another copy and try !
nuthin else.

Hmm just try a reinstall first, if it doesnt work then

backup ur data using ERD COMMANDER or Knoppix or some boot-right-off-the-cd-os and then format and reinstall..

Give us the exact details of the BSOD error... then maybe we can help u.

I had the same problem on my old pc....
I rectified the problem by replacing the RAM.

It had nothing to do with Bios caching(which was anyways disabled when the error occured).

Just give it a try. Might help.

There are many errors which can be rectified w/o reinstalling XP. So, I'd suggest that u post th exact error mesage.
