windows xp 64 bit

hey
i got amd 64bit 3000+
i just got a cd from my friend of xp-64bit edition.
before installing it i want to know ne1 hav tried it?
how does it works?
this OS doesnt need different programs na like xp & 98?
else i cant install it.
will normal programs work in thins windows? like games and other softwares?

i didnt install it but as far as i know

not all s/w and games run on 64 bit frameworks

better check the check the documentation first !!!
