Ever since the dawn of the Windows operating system, Microsoft has used Splash Screens as a means of distracting us while the operating system is loading. In addition to their entertainment value, the Windows splash screens typically provide us with some sort of feedback on the progress of the sometimes lengthy startup process.

In this gallery, you’ll be able to browse and review through all the splash screens from Windows 1.01 to Windows Vista.

A FACT: if anyone of you ever installed windows 3.11 the screen that comes in windows XP when we boot from CD, means
(the blue screen) where Microsoft windows XP proffesional SETUP is written , its the same screen which was used in windows 3.1 setup... no change :D:D:D

isnt this interesting... means the same screen in 3.11 and Xp... shows how deeply rooted XP was :p
