Hi

I am in an intranet. My system is installed with Win XP SP2. If I share a folder and go to another system, access my system, it prompts for authentication.

The problem is that, the username field is grayed out and gives as compnam\\guest. I dont know the password, hence I am not able to access the shared folder...

Any help would be appreciated.....

Enable guest account on the WinXP machine (Control Panel->Admin Tools->Comp Management->Local Users & Groups->Users) and also set the share permission of the folder for everyone to access...
