I purchased Windows 8 64-Bit System builder a few weeks ago.I am getting frequent BSODs while playing games with the Bccode:50 and Locale Id :2057.The games I am playing are all patched, plus they are genuine.I Googled and came up with bad drivers as the possible fault.I ran Uniblue Driver Scanner Trial Version and am getting ''ancient'' Drivers for my HID compliant mouse--Lenovo M6811 USB 2.0 and Network card.I got the drivers for the Ethernet card but am unable to get Microsoft drivers after 2006 for my mouse and this is causing frequent crashes. My system specifications are as follows--
Windows 8 64 Bit System Builder(No updates available).
4 GB Transcend PC2-5300 RAM.
AMD HD 6850 @850/1105 MHz and stock voltages.
Core 2 Duo E7400 @3.44GHz OC'ed using SetFSB.
I would love some help here.:(

I got the drivers for my Mouse.....but when I downloaded and checked with SlimDrivers, all drivers were out of date.....even though Uniblue Driver Scanner Trial version shows all drivers are okay......sometimes the BSOD is due to IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS or PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA..Am at my wit's end..I will try driver identifier and post back with the results....Thanks...

Rather than relying on driver scanning utilities, you do be better off if you go to the respective manufacturer's website and download all the necessary drivers.
Also run a memory test using memtest86+

''memtest86+'' whats this? I had read somewhere that its for testing your RAM.....is that correct? I replaced my RAM thrice but they all gave the same error,at one point of time or the other....How do I use memtest86+?

And thanks a lot for the help.:)

^^ Yes, that's for testing RAM only.
Download the iso, install it in cd/usb. Boot from that, let it run.
But since, you are saying its not a RAM problem, no use of doing that.
Btw did you install "all" the latest drivers for your system?

Ok....Well,not all drivers.....As I wrote before ,I installed Uniblue Driver Scanner Trial Version 2013 and then checked the list for all the drivers which were out of date.....then went to device manager and tried to update all the drivers except for my HP printer, whose drivers have not been released yet.....I installed drivers for my Realtek Network card as well, but this I did from Realtek's site,as Google showed bad ethernet drivers as a possible cause for this Blue Screen event....

I simply don't get it what is the cause for the Blue Screen....I saw that lots of people have this type of problem on Google and narrowed it down to bad drivers as a possible cause....but I am just relying on Google....I am not sure what is the actual cause....Windows is activated and no updates are available ..... Is it due to a bad overclock or PSU?:(

This points to network card driver issues only. But you are saying you have already installed the latest driver.

What I would suggest is(only if you have proper backups) to refresh your PC. Then download fresh drivers one by one(if possible create a restore point at each stage). At whatever stage you get the BSOD, you can revert back. It may take some time, but is worth the hassle.
Also try to go for a methodical approach while installing drivers (chipset>graphic card>network card>other products) to rule out any other issues.

first things first :

run the cpu at stock speed and run metest86+ app to test your memory module(s) and post the result .. they we may really know if it's a driver issue or something else.

After I read this line,I searched around a bit and came up with wrong drivers for my Realtek Ethernet card(Windows 7 64-bit drivers) and replaced with them with the correct drivers (with an additional update) posted on the HP Software and Drivers Page for W8 64 Bit.So far,no crashes...Played GTA IV for an hour without any issues....But I would like to test the stability of my system....any tools for that?I know there are lots, but I can't decide upon one,so I would like some recommendations.....And everyone, thanks a lot for the helpful replies.:)

run the cpu at stock speed

Sorry for being off-topic,but does it make a difference if the stock speed is 2800MHz while booting once and 2793 MHz while rebooting/cold booting?

play some games like BFBC2, BF3, Crysis 2 continuously 2-3 hors - this should be enough IMO.

no, this is happening due to cpu power saving features.

those only stress test cpu and memory mainly but not the gpu and from my experience I've seen that using such stress test apps is not always enough for testing stability .. on the other hand games can put different types of loads on ram, cpu and gpu at the same time so gaming for stability test is much more preferable IMO.

Played GTA IV for 2 hrs...No crashes....:)
Played Shift 2 Unleashed for 20 mins...Crash with BEX Error,code 2057..:(

Cleared the problem reports by mistake, will try and replicate the crash on shift 2....Maybe it's due to the fact that I saw a tweaking guide for shift 2 and switched on SuperSampling for the application profile...Is that a GPU error by any chance(BEX Error)?

BEX error is due to buffer overflow. It is mostly due to registry error or when a firewall blocks certain connections.
I once had the same error with an nightly build of firefox, it got rectified by re-installing.

How about intelburn test
Not bad. Worth a try.

make sure SHift 2 is patched to the most recent version and try some games like BF3,BGBC2, Crysis 2, Sleeping Dogs, Metro 2033 - if they run fine at highest settings possble by your config your rig is fine.
