imagine a person on dialup- for upgrading a few problems one has to waste lots of time and money.
i dont thing its worth it.
anyways -my personal opinion winamp 5 and 5.9 wouldnt make a hell of a difference to the everyday user who just plays song in winamp

I m Still using my winamp 2.79 past three years coz frankly i only listen to mp3s and winamp2.79 is well enuff to manage my playlists and plays the songs just as well

Actually everyone who uses Winamp only for playing music should use Winamp 2. Winamp 5 (especially if you use the modern skin), is a lot more resource hungry.

I am tired of downloading small minor updates of winamp again and again. you download 5.09 and check it's website next day the version will be 5.091 what the hell.

Hi Guys!

Hehe. I dont really give a damn about the list but then ppl who have winamp 5.09 must have noticed that it takes a lot of time to load!! They have fixed this in 5.091. I checked it myself. Loads pretty fast! So this upgrade is worth it!

Ya ur right version 5.09 hanged a lot on my machine, there was something wrong with the winamp equaliser but after upgrading to 5.091 my problem was solved.

:!: My Question:
Does winamp FULL has all the features of PRO version or something else, bcos the size of both are almost same. :?:

Hi gaurav!

See actually the PRO version will behave as the FULL version untill u register it (costs money). The pro version has some extra features such as faster CD ripping and burning. But what the hell! Who uses winamp to rip or burn CD's anyway?? :D

Hi rohanbee!

As i said, all the problems have been fixed in the latest version v5.09.2! So u can go ahead and try it out!

By the way, i personally feel its a good sign that a software is updated regularly. I think it tells us that the software isn't dead!

I agree with you. In my opinion either use the updated version of a software for advanced security reason or don't use the software when you are unable to update it. So, if you want to keep yourself secure, it would be well advised to keep yourself updated.
