Broken In
I have 4 partitions in my pc. in C drive, there was windows 98, and in D drive, windows XP. Now i have no wish to work with 98...i.e, i just want Xp....so i installed XP in C drive too....now my problem is...there is XP in both C and D drive...i wished to unstall XP in D drive but i couln't.....i followed the instruction given in help n support of xp...there it is said to unistall XP from add/remove....but i checked out, there is no windows XP in program list...so from where can i unistall it ??
Also i want to format the C drive...but as it is system drive...i am not able to format it even. Is there any way to change the system drive ??
So in brief, i want to format my C drive and install XP in it and remove Xp from D drive. What should i do ? ...i need the solution....hope u'll help me out.

simple .. first format ur d drive if theres no data on it
if u have data on it then do this first

make sure u can see hidden files and folders
in c:\ ull see a file called boot.ini
open it with notepad to edit it
and remove the line which points to the d:\ installation
then simply delete the windows and documents and settings folder from d:\

now either boot from ur winxp cd or insert it while in windows
run windows setup again

if uve booted from the cd .. choose the same partition (c:\) to install xp again
it'll ask u for confirmations and to press some keys to format it
choose ur file system and ur on the way

if uve start windows setup in windows itself then choose "NEW INSTALL"
it'll reboot and start the installation as above .
follow the same steps as above

ps ull loose all data on c:\ mind u ..
plz make backups of ur important data just in case
