Win XP SP2 Queries

Hi,
1. I would like to find out the installation key of the XP2 installed in my machine. How to go about it?

2. I want to keep a backup of the entire XP + SP2 installation in my PC so that in case of any problem I can use the same to repair the system. Please advice how to go about it.

Are there any "best practices" that one can follow to maintain the OS in one's machine?

For Your CD key,
Install Everest (A Benchmarking Software)
You can find all your system information here, whether its software or hardware.
Its a trial version (I think) but it does do the trick

Acronis True Image is most recommended

Again, its not free (Trial Version)
But it should help

For maintaining PC
Install a good Antivirus which does not hog RAM
Kaspersky, NOD32, AVG, Avira are useful here (Dump Norton And McAfee, its a bunch of cr@p)
Secondly,
Clean your PC of obsolete and useful files using Ccleaner
