win 98 error!

at the startup 0f win 98 my system shows
couln't found crtdll.dll
running in 16bit mode 640x....resolution, can't change the display setings
there is no mouse poiter
can't run any game,not even win98 setup, only documents
shows error about kernel 32,ptsnoop
please help
give me the procedure in detail to solve the problem
my second windows is xp , i am currently using that , but i also want win98 for some games...

update ur display drivers...n see if that dosent work get ur ram checked i think tht could well be the culprit

use sfc and use "extract one file", enter crtdll.dll and save it to c:\windows\system

PS: To help solve software/OS errors, search in google groups... More often than not, the errors and the solutions will be available in it...
