after trying no. of ripping and converter software ...i can say the best is gordian knot...it's free....
the rip pack includes every thing u'll need to encode....
download the gordianknot rip pack and codec pack...
the latest rip pack doesn't includes dvd decrypter ...download it from else where...(try google)...
use included robot4rip to decrypt dvd's and create d2v project...
then use gordianknot...
try encoding in xvid or better in x264 avc...
if ur dvd's are unprotected u can use nero recode for avc...best results...but very slow..and low audio volumes...( doen't means low quality)....u'll need licenced copy of nero ultra...
but why to pay when u can get every thing for free...use gordianknot.....for x264...u'll have to download the codec separately...all other codec are there in codec pack...
if u choose..mkvfile format u can have chapter and subtitles information as well...otherwise subtitles have to be burned in to avi or vobsub has to be used...( again included in the rip pack)

Use DVD Decrypter

DVD Decrypter is a free tool that allows you to decrypt and copy DVDs to your PC's hard disk. From there you can watch them with the likes of WinDVD and PowerDVD, you can write them back to DVD-R / DVD-RW / DVD+R / DVD+RW / DVD+R DL / DVD-RAM media or you can convert them to VCD / SVCD / DivX for burning onto CD-R / CD-RW.

DVD Decrypter can write most types of CD / DVD images via its 'ISO Write' mode, and it supports all the latest writers (including booktype / bitsetting on many of the major ones - i.e. BenQ, LiteOn, NEC, Plextor, Sony). You can even use DVD Decrypter to erase / format your rewritable media!

How to do:
1. Get DVD Decrypter (Freeware)

2. Get autoGk (Full pacakge) (Free)

3. First use DVD Decrypter to rip the VOB file from your DVD and save them into a folder.
4. Now open up auto GK...and locate the directory where u've saved the .VOB files...and now u have the option to rip to whatever size...since u wanna rip to 1.37 GB (2 CDS) or 700mb ,tick that option....and then change the other settings if u wish..and hit RIP!!


Note the ripping speed depends on the PC speed and it's performance. Get autoGK only u have a faster computer.

they appear very bright and as if a tranlucent layer has been placed over them.
