There've been several topics like this one, the debate runs on. Gnome = Simple. KDE = Feature full.

+1 for Gnome. It is personal preference of the individual using. I prefer Gnome, clean and easy to use layout, small icons and separate panel for the running applications and separate launch pad makes it more user friendly for me.

This is an endless and totally meaningless debate. All DE's and WM's are as good and cater to the needs of different people.
