i have winxp/sp2 on the c drive ofmy p4 desktop, with all updates.
some time back, i used 'partition magic' to combine two of my drives d and e into one 'd' drive. recently when i happened to click on the 'windows firewall' logo in the control panel, instead of getting the usual window, i got one saying "due to unidentified problem, windows cannot display windows firewall settings".
so i clicked on the security center icon in the control panel. there it said
windows firewall is off. the 'windows firewall/ICS service' from the services is also missing.
so where did it go ?
what happened? corruption ??
what can / shud i do now...
reapir xp/sp2 instltn ? or what else ?
