???????? What Problem Is This ?????????

Hello friends
I am using Sify Broadband Connection.
I am using LAN card VIA PCI 10/100 Mb Fast Ehernet.

The problem is that whenever power goes off or whenever i switch off/restart my pc (direct)when it hangs...., after reloging i am unable to connect internet bcoz that LAN icon in taskbar shows sataus as connected but speed= 10Mbps instead of 100Mbps.

To connect again i need to swich off my pc and wait about 30-60 min
before rebooting again otherwise it will again show speed =10Mps
What could be the possible reason to this and how can i come out of this problem?????????????

Really wierd problem,

maybe the cable from the router to the ethernet port is faulty,

these cables are really inexpansive, change the cable and then check it out.
