    What is Divx ?

Dvd ripping is bypassing the copy protection present on the dvd and saving the video object or .vob files on your HDD. search the web for a more detailed description.

I support XVid ... Its open source and freeware .. DivX is also based on the same FourCC compression algorithm that XVid use ...
