What are the ways to dry out your cell phone if it is dropped in water?

Remove whatever that can be removed from the mobile (batteries, SIM) to aid the air flow, and keep the contents on the dry nice. Dry nice acts as a dessicant to absorb moisture.

dont try to consume the rice later on,though (serious,could be harmful)

dont try hair dryer,leaving in sun etc thatll worsen it

If your cell phone dropped in water then immediately remove the battery and sim card in the phone. And, you don't use hair dryer, microwave and sunlight to dry the phone because, its heat can damage your phone. So, you dry your phone put into the rice bag. But in this case mobile is not starting and generate some problems then you can go service center for check this problem.
