Wat's Windows Longhorn and Windows Vista

Few months ago, it was Windows Longhorn and now its Windows Vista .. I might laggin behind in some news but why the change in name or are they different .. is WinFS still being implemented and Longhorn's GUI is different from Vista's ..

Did they drop the LH??

as far as I know Vista is Longhorn Renamed ... thats it

If I am wrong somebody please correct me

please bother to do some searching before you post...there are a million posts in our forum over this!!!..anyways Windows Vista is the next version of Windows and Longhorn was the codename given to it while it was in its early stages of development and testing.....right now the latest version is still a beta (Windows Vista beta1).....

I have the 4051st releast of Win Longhorn and it look nowhere near Vista pics in this month's Digit .. the GUI is different

win xp was known as whistler in development stages
vista was known as longhorn

xp analogous to vista
whistler analogous to longhorn
