My budget for the laptop varies from 20k to 35k
I will be using the laptop for movies and music and work!
Gaming maybe!
I should be able to install the latest vista version
The hdd space should be 160 gb+
I stay at mumbai,
Ok
now I need the following info
1) which brands should I go for?
2) do they assemble laptops, if yes is assembling or branded better?
3) 64 bit better or 32 bit better
4) amd or intel, which to go for?
5) I need all accessories, like bluetooth, dvd writer, usb, ethernet, modem, webcam etc all
6) best battery life!

isn't a laptop with core duo better with 1MB cache in the same range 30-33K

acer 4520 is now 1.90ghz with 1mb cache

by no mean Core Duo is better than it but yeah Core2 would be better than it... however its not just processoir one need to buy system performance will depend on the full config... and at Rs. 35k this is the (Compaq 6608AU) is the best performer !!!!!

wow... GX, bro, we are trying to find a model @ Rs. 35k or under where as the dv6516TX is a 55k model ... it we should compare this with Dell 1520 !!!!

BTW @arunks the Onboard gfx of the dv6608u are better than any other lappy in 34k.
And the proccy is a good performer too.

i think if these companies stop giving bundled OS like windows and give linux then the price will be drastically reduced and this can boost the sale of laptop in india ..(a country in which majority of people do not want to spend huge amount)
