virus: something happeing with yahoo.

oh my god , i've won a 20000 usd lottery . Come to my house tonight for a party !!

this is the chat message that come through yahoo! that my firend.
he had clicked on it too., and now has infected his messenger.
I on first glance knew this is a virus or something like that.
the problem is that my friend does not have anti virus s/w installed on his system.

can anyone help my friend?

actually dude whole yahoo.com has virus infections

i got a lot of porn mails from my friend's ids

some are ids of girls

they said they never ever sent them

i use google

leave yahoo.com

it can caue you format ur pc without any backups

it says me to give me my age proof, place & bank a/c. no. to transfer the money
n if i reply them i to get a reply within a day
in my gmail account

A fake company or something like that
Or Goddess Lakshmi really want me to have some million dollar

When i google it i got info that after giving my Bank a/c no they will ask me to give some thousand dollar for the process of transfer because i m in other country n not in their

not on yahoo mail, I am talking about yahoo messenger. the mesage above is what I am getting through random chat windows which are originating from my friend.I get this whenever he is online

If you are using WIndows O.S, a good antivirus & a good firewall is a must.
Don't even think about connecting to the Net without these softwares installed.
You also need to install a anti-spyware software also.
@Satyamy, I also received one lottery mail!! That's a lottery scam!! It's total fake.
Don't give any of your details including your bank a/c!!!

blackleopard : download, install, update one good anti-virus and 2 good anti-spywares. i suggest avast www.avast.com, ewido www.ewido.net & adaware www.lavasoft.de. also install ccleaner www.ccleaner.com.

go into SAFE MODE and scan ur pc with all 3 and then clear ur pc junk with ccleaner. i shud help. if it dznt, post ur hijackthis logfile here.
