    Hello friends,

    My PC configuration:

    P4 3.0 HT
    512 MB RAM (Kingston)
Windows XP SP2 + all updates

    Problem:

Since yesterday I have noticed that whenever I leave any program, for example Internet Explorer or MS Word open on the screen and do not touch the mouse and keyboard for a while the scroll bar moves up and down automatically on its own.

Clearly: Internet Explorer and MSWord scroll bar moves up and down at intervals automatically on its own. (without my intervension)

    Question:

Is this a virus behabiour ? If so, how can I identify this virus and remove it. :?:

I ran Norton Antivirus 2003 but it could not detect any virus. :(

I also ran Microsoft Antispyware and Spybot S&D --- nothing found.

    Please kindly help me.

Not sure it is a trojan or not, because some time ago, someone posted the same problem you have. Instead of movement of scroll bars up and down, his mouse was being "hijacked", i.e. it flowed here and there by itself. Someone had mentioned the cure for it, so you should search for it first and then try to scan your system. :)
