No No that s not what i want . I want to have muliple desktop . e.g. on one desktop downloading n some other task are going on and on the other desktop i am doing my programming.This is in order to avoid distraction and clutter.

I use Yodm3D freeware version it gives u 4 desktop & u can navigate to any desktop by mouse or keyboard. It rotates its 4 cubes in 3D space & the best I like is that u dont need to install it, simply click the exe file & it will start, no ned messing the registry

I found virtual dimension which is free and open source and testing it.But its not as good as desktop manager of UBUNTU

Microsoft Powertoys at *www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx has a virtual desktop manager for creating max 4 virtual desktops... There are a few other free alternative such as multiDesk at *www.techsuperior.com/multiDesk/
