video card takes time to initialize

hi people,

i have a pc (p4 1.8, 256 mb) which is more of a TV than anything else. helping me watch TV on my pc is my pixelview pro tv tuner card. now the problem is it takes about 10-15 secs to initialize. is this a common feature or is it something specific i'm experiencing?! how do i speed up the initialization. pls help.

Please post your system configuration. It depends very much on your system config, a slower system usually means more time to initialize the TV tuner display.
