USB WRITER

hello frnds,
i have this USB writer .
Company Name: LITEON
Model:LTR-52327SX

The problem is .. my PC does not detect the writer.it detects an "unknown device" at the USB port. Windows XP does not require a driver for this device but still i downloaded the driver.That did not help.
Plz help

try inserting it to some other usb port on your rig and also try using it on a frnds pc .. sometimes the front panel usb ports are not wired properly and result in errors and failure of detection. if nothing works take it to the dealer.
