Broken In
I have a 1 GB Kingston USB Drive which was working peoperly for about 2 months. Now suddenly, a strange problem has occured. When I plug it in, my pc accepts it and assigns a drive letter to it. If I ckick on the drive letter in My Computer or in Windows Explorer, an "Access Denied" error is shown. But if I use the Autorun Menu, then I can open the USB drive from there.

In simpler words, I cannot access my USB drive through "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer" directly but can access it from the Autorun menu that pops up when I plug in the drive.

I checked it on another PC and found the same problem there also. Both systems are having Windows XP with SP2.

Coming back to life ..
Right click on the USB Drive and check what is the default action .. It should be Open or Explore. If its something else, then that is creating the problem ..
