URGENT Laptop query

my friend wants to buy this compaq 6608 au (*premiermadurai.com/V 6608 AU.htm) or V3611AU or C707TU

please suggest which one is better? the pros and cons of each? i dont exactly have knowledge of AMDs these days

the budget is around 35k mark.. but can be exceeded to abt 40k. i really do not care abt WIndows preinstalled or anything. i can do all that myself

Get the V6608AU. Although the most expensive (from the ones you've mentioned), it does have the best specs from the present lot of entry-level laptops.

Dual core processor, 1gig RAM, 160gigs HDD, .. No reason not to go for it. And it is not as if you're getting an outdated one. The processor and other stuff are very new. And of course, Compaq is a trusted brand. Ask your neighbor/friends/uncles or

all of the above.
