MORE INFORMATION
To make your CD-ROM drive accessible in Safe Mode, use the following steps:

NOTE: For this procedure to work correctly, real mode CD-ROM drivers must be installed. If you are unable to obtain and install the original real mode drivers for your CD-ROM drive, consult the manufacturer of your CD-ROM drive, or see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

ARTICLE-ID: 190303
TITLE : How to Use Real-Mode CD-ROM Drivers from Windows 98 Startup Disk

1. Restart your computer to a command prompt. To do so, use the appropriate method:

* Windows 95
----------

Restart your computer, and when you see the "Starting Windows 95" message, press F8, and then choose Command Prompt Only from the Startup menu.
* Windows 98
----------

Restart your computer, press and hold CTRL, and then choose Command Prompt Only from the Startup menu.
2. At the command prompt, type "win /d:m" (without quotation marks), and then press ENTER.

Ya you should re-install the OS.

BTW. you must know what those drivers are and not simply download them from the net and install. Drivers are not like odinary softwares that you install on your computer., it a different story here bud.

Drivers tell your OS to behave the way it should. So Drivers are very very closely related to the OS on your computer. So beaware about it before installing and also try to download the manual if available for the same from the net.

There are several ways of installing drivers on your computer and it depends upon your OS version.

Ok why don't you try to visit the LG website and find a recent drivers for your mobile device.

Alternatively you can also visit the vendor you bought your mobile from to ask for a recent driver which will work with Win XP

evn if they are not digitally signed just go ahead and install them, u can disable check for Driver Signing by going to My Comp Properties--> Hardware--> Driver Signing and then choose ignore. Then try re-installing ur drivers, it might solve the problem
