I think you should get a 250 GB HDD for now as the HDD prices are sky high now a days due to low production rate because of the flood in Thailand where all the manufacturing plants of Seagate and WD are situated. 1 TB is now costing around 6.1K.

Here is your config:-

AMD Phenom II X4 955BE (3.2 GHz, 4 cores, 2 MB L2, 6 MB L3 cache)@ 6K
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P (rev. 3.1) @ 2.6K
Corsair 4GB X 1 1333 MHz DDR3 ram @ 1.15K
Seagate/WD 250 GB SATA HDD @ 3.5K
LG 22X SATA DVD R/W @ 0.9K
FSP SAGA II 500W PSU @ 2.2K
BenQ G2220HD 21.5" Full HD Display @ 7K
NZXT Source 201 Elite Cabinet @ 2.2K
Intex 800VA UPS @ 1.5K
MSI HD 6850 Cyclone OC @ 9.7K

Total 36.75K

You don't need AC Room to keep the PC under safe temp limits & Yes, you can use your PC 24x7 without any hickups.

2. Can I play Xbox or ps3 games on this pc??

No, you can't play PS3 or X Box games or any other console games in a PC.

3. Can i use the gamepad or joystick or wheels like xbox or ps3? How much these equipp.s are gonna cost me?

You can buy a X-Box 360 wired or wireless controller & use it with the PC Games. But before buying the accessories make sure its compatible with windows [marked with windows logo or must have written]. Apart from these, there are lot of gamepads, joysticks, Racing Wheels available for PC alone. These accessories are available from very nominal pricings to hefty premium price.

E.g: X-Box 360 Wired Controller Gamepad cost 1300 rupees.
Frontech wired 6 axis gamepad cost 450 rupees.

It depends on what you play exactly.

4. What shud be the rpm and clock speed of the hdd?? and is ther any diff. betwn IDE and SATA? If so then which 1 better??

There's nothing like Clock Speed for HDDs. Ideally you need 5400 or 7200 rpm for normal usage. Currently Sata HDDs are only available, so stick to it.

Shud I go for WD or Seagate??

Any brand, based on your budget & availability will do good.

5. If possible cud u pls post images for each part of pc (I m unable to get it properly 4m Google)...as i am newbie to technicalities...plss...

First know the parts, then either search in google or go to wiki for detailed information.

6. Whats overclocking??

in short, it means running the product with higher clocks than the manufacturer's rating with minor tweaks under bios / tools.

7. Will it consume more electricity than that of regular pc???

Again it depends, what you do with it.

Lets say you game 24x7 with heavy loads on CPU, triple monitor display, blah blah, then expect something more than a normal desktop. [Gaming 24x7 might not be a ideal example, but i wanted to show the impact on the electricity bill]

If you are using the desktop for normal downloading, office work or browsing, then few hundred buck will be added into your electricity bill.

Hope my queries will be solved asap....plss

Thanxx in advance.....:razz::razz:

You can play all the latest games with this card. Games like DIRT, COD series, NFS series, The Witcher etc can be played with high setting at 1080P resolution.
More demanding games like Crysis series, Battlefield 3, Metro 2033 etc can be played with medium setting without any issues.

first of all remember & tell your other friends too xfx cards quality is not good compared to brands like msi & sapphire.in fact if i have to buy a card i would never buy a xfx card because of the various issues posted by others here including cilus about its bad quality & even worse after sales support.

Gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3 will cost ~2200 more than the suggested one but it has more features, better build quality & usb 3.if you can afford then get this board.

hard disk prices have more than doubled because of recent floods in Thailand which affected hard disk manufacturing units there.to give you an idea 1tb seagate costs ~5000 now but in sep last year it cost ~2600.prices are expected to come down in a few months so for now it is advised to buy cheapest hard disk.

source elite cabinet suggested is better than coolermaster elite though if you live outside mumbai you will have to buy NZXT cabinet online which will add ~300-600 shipping charges depending on which site you buy from.

OFFTOPIC:
i won't suggest any config. the above config is better but add a 22" monitor & a better UPS (600VA UPS won't offer more than a minute backup) and total PC cost will be around 40k or more.

i'll suggest go and inquire prices & availability of parts locally a few days before you purchase your PC. and post your experience here. as you are new to hardware and don't have practical knowledge about hardware parts, shopkeepers will fool you and sell some local parts or low quality parts saying the ones that you want is not available and these are better. This has happened many times with newbies and later we feel bad that even after so much recommendation and discussion they end up purchasing underrated parts. so decide what you want to buy. if you want make 2 config: one based on AMD processor & second one with Intel processor and check local availability as well as prices.

ksagar7up, buddy, first let us know your maximum budget 1st...the max amount you can extend. Obviously the Core i5 based system is much better but it will increase the cost almost 10K over your currently mentioned budget. So make up the maximum budget 1st.

Answers...

1). You can use your PC in ON Condition for 20 hours per day without any issues.

2). practically your PC will not be 100% stressed throughout the day, there will be idle time & high time, so it will get compensated.

3). As asked you earlier, you should decide, which games you want to play.
Generally a gamepad can be used for FPS, RPG & Racings or Arcade.
Wheels are only meant to play with Simulation based games. Read more about these accessories in wiki, you will get a detailed idea about it.

4). I don't understand what to answer than suggesting a config itself.

5). Benq G2220HDL 21.5" Led monitor is a LED HD Monitor, priced around 8k.

6). I don't think you want to bang your head over your Keyboard rather than typing.

7). 60GB SSD will do good, but your budget is very less to afford them.

8). 4GB x 2 will do better, but the config has to be optimised to be under the budget limits.

9). Your sole purpose is to play games, but you don't know which games your are going to play.

No offense, but i feel you need to do some more studies from your side to understand basic stuffs rather than waiting for some one like us to spoon feed you before buying the entire rig.

P.S: Read Post # 13 by SAM.

Intel Config...

Component | Make | Price Processor |Intel Core i5 2320|9300
Motherboard |MSI H67MA-E35 B3|4600
RAM |G-skill F3-10600CL9S-4GBNT(4Gx1)|1350
Graphic Card |MSI R6850 Cyclone PE/OC|9500
HDD |Seagate 250GB 7200.12|3400
Optical Drive |LG 22x Super DVD R/W|850
PSU |Corsair GS600|4000
Case |CM Elite 310|1500
Monitor |Benq G2220HDL|8000
Keyboard & Mouse |Logitech MK200|700
UPS |APC 600VA|1850
Speakers |Logitech Z313|1625
| Total |46675

You can opt for Benq G2220HD 21.5" LCD for 7k, which will reduce the overall budget by another 1k.

If its not feasible to afford the above then go with the one which CILUS suggested. Its a complete VFM gaming machine which can handle all your needs.

ksagar7up, if your main intention is to play games @ 1080P resolution then invest the extra money in a more powerful GPU. The reason is that at 1080P or higher resolution, GPU matters a lot than CPU. So a Phenom II 955 + HD 6950 will perform better than a i5 2400 + HD 6850 in gaming.

AMD Phenom II X4 955BE (3.2 GHz, 4 cores, 2 MB L2, 6 MB L3 cache)@ 6K
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P (rev. 3.1) @ 2.6K
Corsair 4GB X 1 1333 MHz DDR3 ram @ 1.15K
Seagate/WD 250 GB SATA HDD @ 3.5K
LG 22X SATA DVD R/W @ 0.9K
FSP SAGA II 500W PSU @ 2.2K
BenQ G2220HD 21.5" Full HD Display @ 7K
NZXT Source 201 Elite Cabinet @ 2.2K
Intex 800VA UPS @ 1.5K
Sapphire HD 6950 1 GB @ 14.4K

Total 41.45K, coming within your max budget. Now this config is the best gaming config during the presence of a very powerful Gfx card. And a few words about overclocking...reason why I'm not suggesting Phenom II 975.

CPU overclocking means running the CPU at a higher speed than the rated one by some tweaking and applying proper cooling solution. Now AMD Black Edition of BE processors and Intel K series processors are basically designed for overclocking and advanced users can push these CPUs to a very high level, fetching a lot of extra performance.
Normally CPU speed = Base clock speed (BCLK) X CPU Multiplier

In case of AMD BE processors, BCLK is 200 MHz. So for Phenom II X4 BE, the Multiplier is 16. Now BE processors have unlocked multiplier and can be increased to a very high level. So by just changing the multiplier to 18, you can run the CPU @ 3.6 GHz speed. Obviously if you wanna push more, you need an aftermarket CPU cooler like Hyper 212 EVO around 2K. With that cooler you can push a Phenom II X4 processor 4 GHz + speed easily. You can educate yourself ...Thanks to Google...Lots of detailed articles and Youtube videos are available for step by step guide.
