unknow audio problem

am having problem wit my audio...i dont have sound when i paly winamp,and youtube videos in web.....
this is the error i have when i play winamp...

this happened recently..i dont wat the problem..can anybody help me out...

When you're running WinXP, you should use the DirectSound output plug-in instead of waveout.(make sure you've not unchecked it in the installer). Waveout is outdated and uses very old APIs.

Also waveout has less features then DirectSound and probably more bugs.

Also make sure you're using latest drivers for soundcard and chipset.
