unable to name folder?

i am unable to name folder as "con" .I have tried it several times .
Plz help me to know the reason and a solution also..

u cant its a reseved name,,, there are a few more which cannot be used as folder names

con is in short for CONsole. so its reserved word and hence cant use it to a folder

Here are names that you won't give to a folder: CON, AUX, COM1, COM2, COM3, COM4, LPT1, LPT2, LPT3, PRN, NUL
