Unable to Install Mandrake

I have an amd 64 3000+, 512mb ram, 160gb sata system with win2k, xp. Whenever i try to install mandrake 10.1 (digit jan 2005) a screen appearssaying "installing hardware Nvidia ide/scsi/firewire" before the installation starts and then nothin' happens. I guess it doesn't support sata. How can i solve it?

Hmm it seems u have latest configuration and mandrake 10.1 is little old now to support these. Try installin mandrake 10.2 or suse 9.3 or FC4!
