Unable to install linux

    this shud've been posted earlier but better late than never.
    i am unable to install the linux bundled with the August issue. After writing the ISO file onto a CD i set the first boot device to CD rom but the computer does not boot from it and thus linux is not installed. Please Help someone....

    Did you write that ISO file just as it is ... or burnt an ISO image on the CD ? ... another person on this forum had done this...

    If its written as an ISO image then me guess, you need to get a good quality CDs

    Wht did u used to burn it.. ie software ?

    the possible problem 1 must be u must not have burnt it properly

    or u must be having problem with the partitions as i have installed linux from the same iso image

    but i have already made partitions for linox i.e. ext3 and swap with the partition magic software u can also try it it's simple to use
