Re: i am not able for find

U will have to wait atleast till mid-september. I had talk with AMD guys in Delhi who says that even X2 4200+ will not be easily available (after price reduction) till late August.

You will never find the X2 4800 again. It has been discontinued. Either X2 4600 or X2 5000.

BTW get E6300 from Intel instead if you have the moolah.

Else get the X2 4200 and a good cooling solution and make the AMD to 5500+ speeds, or atleast 4800+ speeds.

what you are talking about?
e6400(NOT E6300) costs about 7500 bucks less than X2 4400+ over here so how can you say get the X2 4600 or X2 5000 and then say that if he's got moolah get the e6300?
Is e6300 more costly than the X2 4400 and higher in india?
(its confusing,i know)

I suggest you opt for a Windsor (AM2) core AMD X2 4000+ with 2MB L2 cache. Couple it with a decent mobo like Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe and load it up with decent DDR2 PC6400 (800 MHz) RAM and you are ready to rock. Personally I think 4800+ wont be any good with 2MB cache. And no point in sticking with older 939 pins as future belongs to DDR2. And in case you want to opt for a Conroe, wait for couple of months so that kick-ass mobos are out in the market.

The 4800+ with 1 MB? That's 2 MB AFA I know, if you're talking 939. The 1 MB equivalent is the 4600+ (512 x 2), which is also a 2.4 GHz part, codenamed manchester, the 1 x 2 MB part is called Toledo mayte....
^ DDR2 offers greater bandwidth which will be used with time pal... DDR is basically on the road to "kaputdom" with both Intel and AMD adopting DDR2.... Benchy DDR 400 and DDR2 800 and you'll get my drift... DDR2 was sucky in its earlier avatars, not any more...

thnx for the feedback guys ... i want to go for an AMD this time...

with all said ... & done ... AFAIK there is no dealer in idea... who supplies more than x2 4200+ (939).... nor do they tell the prices of higher end X2 like 4600+ or 4800+

wat sort of hardware dealers we have in india ?

check this
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819103544

X2 4800+ costs 307$ ...converted costs 15k .... which is affordable...

vinyas.......first are u going to overclock????

also u stating price of newegg...man its better u get that frm somone coming frm abroad.........if even that peice is available here 4800+it wont b price below 20k atlest till next year..........presently 3800+ is going for 9-9.5k...when it price shd b ard 7.5-8k.........

i suggest u better get x2 3800+ and than next year go for c2d(which will get cheaper due to quad core entry)......also we all have to shelve money on dx10 cards.........next year.......

also to b frank if u going to shelve 15k on that newegg stuff.....better get c2d(10-11k) and asrock board..........no need to change rams as it supports ddr.........and u will get speed at stock equal to amd 4400+ alsoif in future u think to change rams u dont need to change boards..as it supports ddr2 too

but if u ready to shelve 15k on amd proccy..its better u take am2 one with new board and ddr2 rams......

akshayt if u dont have knowledge dont try to crap ppl

check this

and this is the peice available here vinyas(in india)

dude jus search asrock site or jus google ull get your answer..........and akshayt dude ard 95% of computer buyers doesnt overclk...becoz very less knowledge abt it is known....and so do i think is vinyas...since his point buying 4800+ proves that......becoz any good oc if buys a 4800+ will b termed fool..and thats why all runing after 3800+...becoz on oc it will giv performance equal to 5000+
