Processor doesn't have any impact on online gaming. For better play in online all you need is High Upload speed and Low pings.
<continued..>With a AGP or a GC that can run that particular game seemlessly. When you talk about AGP's i7's unit does come handy.
It would be really crucial for OP to mention the game he is planning to play online. Hope its not BF4
