Hello friends!!
I recently got MTNL Mumbai 256 kbps broadband(triband connection) along with dsl-502T d-link adsl router.i connected the router to the USB port of my computer which runs on windows 98 SE.the necessary usb drivers are installed and the network configuration is also done and the connection is working satisfactorily.i am having one question.the network connection icon is missing in the taskbar;so i am unable to know the status of my connection as well as the download speed.in the network folder of control panel, under "properties" there is nothing to activate so as to display the connection status in the taskbar.any suggestion will be much appreciated.BTW,while using dial up connection, the connection icon was available in the taskbar whenever a successful connection was established.but not with broadband.thanks.first time posting.bear with me for any shortcomings.

In the zone
u have to select that from n/w connections. goto n/w connections and under properties of the lan select "Show notification if connection has no connectivity or limited connectivity" and then youll see the n/w icon in the taskbar
