I’m using licensed version of tally 6.3, it giving me problems when I enter previous years entries getting message like this

In Tally, you have to create a "comapny" and specify the accounting year for that company. Modify that comapny details and set the accounting period properly.
You can also go to *www.tallysolutions.com for help. They even have a live chat for users with licensed copy
go to company details alter and change the period your compaANY so that it includes both the years. I presume that you continued in the last years company.
