its taking more then 20 sec to shut down im using an amd 3200+pc
Here is solution for the delay of XP while shutting down.

30 secs for XP to shut down is fine!
how much RAM do u hv?? maybe u r running many background programs....
hey 20secs is just fine...in my dual core 2.8GHz processor based pc it takes 1min even more some times....
make sure ur pc is not programd to clear page file at every shutdown
