SYSTEM RESTARTS ABRUPTLY !!!!!!!!!!!

hi guys,
I have
AMD-64 processor
80 GB SATA harddisk, 20 GB Serial ATA harddisk
512 MB DDR2 ram
Motherboard is ASUS K8S-MX.
Now, the problem is that My system reastarts abruptly while I am doing any work like AUTOCAD or playing games like NFSU2.
Even while browsing the net it restarts.
I have checked my CPU temperatures but found them normal.
I have also flashed my motherboard but still the problem persists.

One thing I doubt that while I start my system the BIOS displays the messsage
"primary master drive - ATAPI incompatible"
"press F1 to continue"

Please Please Please help me. My only hope is you people.

does it restart automatically or does it show a 1min timer countdown... that systemn will shut down in 1 minutes or so?????????

If the system restarts only when u r doin graphics intensive application then the prob cud b with ur graphics card. Check if ur moniter coerd is tightly placed. Also check the graphics card slot. Update to the latest graphics card drivers or use the older stable ones.
Lower ur monitor resolutions and refresh rates. see if the problem goes away..

First disable Automatic Restart option!

Goto My computer properties and click on Advanced tab, now click on Settings button in Startup & Recovery section and uncheck Automatically Restart in System Failure.

Now it'll not restart ur system automatically, it'll show BSOD telling u the ERROR.

So u can tell us what error u r receiving...
