The Swedish Armed Forces has made the decision to migrate its core IT infrastructure servers from Windows NT to Red Hat Enterprise Linux, primarily for security reasons.

linux is definitely safer than windows. The world knows it.
And change the poll from "Can u think linux is safer then windows" to "Do u think linux is safer than windows?"

Yes Linux is definitely SAFER than windows. Though there needs an improvement in the standardization of Linux versions.

for fanboys, the question is appropriately worded. They CAN'T think Linux is safer than windows

It's also got a lot to do with linux being open source. That makes linux trustworthy. And undoubtably there are some great FOSS tools for security.

honestly, I always thought that superpower militaries would use their own OSes. After all, a lot of computing foundation was laid by them.
